Hotel Lamego Launches Carnival Package |

The four-star Hotel Lamego is promoting one- and two-night stays over the Carnival weekend of 5 and 6 February.
Priced €163 and €222 for two people sharing a double-room, the offer includes buffet breakfast, Sunday lunch and a lavish Carnival dinner with live Brazilian-style entertainment.
Single room occupancy is also available for €99 and €146, respectively.
Located a few minutes from the centre of town, the Hotel Lamego offers 93 rooms, all fully equipped with air-conditioning, satellite TV, mini-bar, radio and direct-dial telephone. Besides a restaurant, bar and tennis court, the hotel also has two heated swimming pools and a modern health club with Jacuzzi, squash court, Turkish bath, table tennis and a gymnasium.
Located in the heart of Port wine country, northern Portugal, Lamego is a delightful Baroque town brimming with elegant 17th century buildings. Its main attractions include a 12th century castle and the pilgrimage church of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, which stands proud at the top of a magnificent 600-step staircase.
The town's cathedral is a Gothic structure built by Portugal's first king, Afonso Henriques, in 1129.
